I was recently contacted by Gaby from Carnevale Films (which will soon branch out and include Carnevale Publishing) about reviewing The Harlot’s Progress by the late Peter Mottley.  As soon as I watched the trailer (see below) I knew I had to read this book.

	This is the first in a trilogy and a fictional realization of Hogarth’s series of etchings called “The Harlot’s Progress”.  Each story follows one of three 18th Century harlots who have all been seduced into a life of prostitution at The Bell, a Wood Lane brothel in the City of London run by the notorious bawd, mother Wickham.  Underlying each story is the tale of a young woman’s struggle against overwhelming misfortune.  The first in the trilogy is called Yorkshire Molly, released on 7th November, 2009.It’s a very special trilogy.  Peter died in 2006, he paid meticulous attention to the period detail of Hogarth’s London.  While it has a compelling story it is also a bawdy romp and there is a breathtaking twist in the tale that keeps the reader gripped with a rewarding and ending… I’m thrilled to announce that Gaby has generously offered up a copy of The Harlot’s Progress to one lucky reader of my blog!  The giveaway is international and entering  is simple.  Leave a comment with your address for one entry and ‘advertise’ this giveaway somehow (you choose, just make sure you let me know and post the link) for a second entry.  Contest ends on November 7, 2009.
